If you comment here, it may not show up for a day or two. I’m not exactly sure why, but the comments function isn’t working all that well. I’ll ask the people at my hosting provider to look into it but I suspect I’ll have to reinstall and reimport everything and while I’m doing all that I may as well migrate to the new Movable Type, as it looks to me as if multi-author blogging isn’t something I’m about to start doing here and now.
So for the next week or so, if your comments don’t show up for a little while, just keep posting them and when I do my regular rebuilds of the site, they’ll show up for all the world to see.
Have you considered switching to somethign with a less restrictive user lisence such as wordpress or any other open source blogging platform?
I’ve thought about it but I have everything set up in MT right now and such a migration I’d rather put off until after I finish my current major writing projects. It’s be the kind of thing I might consider doing during Winter holidays… unless I’m cranking out another novel draft. Plus, I really don’t want to learn yet another language. WordPress is cool but do I really wanna re-code everything in yet another language I’d have to learn?
Gaaa. But yes, it is good advice, and I’ll probably follow through on it… eventually. I have a certain project I’d like to work on, actually, with collaborators, so I’ll need to do it for another site I’m planning to set up sometime next year.
