What’s the hardest part of living abroad?

Sometimes, it’s things like this pdf.

By the way, the young man mentioned is my nephew.

  1. Gord,

You never cease to amaze me. Your dad said that you put something on here about Nathaniel’s birthday party invite. I was thinking neat..and then you put it the way you did (i acutally had some tears in my eyes). Nicely done. We miss you and Nathaniel misses you. It sure would be nice if you could be here. We will be thinking of you and will save you some cake.

Hope you are having a good day.

    Troy

  2. Hey, don’t get me wrong, sometimes the hardest part of living here is trying to get a security guard to open a door that’s supposed to be opened, that the paperwork’s been filled out for, but which he doesn’t feel like opening. Or the scarcity of smoked gouda. Or the way people point and stare.

But sometimes it’s the little things you’re missing back home. And now that camp is winding down, I’m returning back to sorta-normal mode, and feeling a little disappointed about not being around for the party. Ah well, one of these years. I shall have to get better at being the uncle who sends gifts on time, though.
