Yes, I finally went to the library today and got myself access to the OED online, and to Nature online, and all kinds of other resources online. It’s a lovely thing to be able to trawl through ten years of the finest of science publication, and wander through the best English dictionary on the planet, all for free. A lovely thing.
And other cool news: I was told I can enter Seoul University’s open stacks with only an ID card. I don’t need to be studying or working there, I just need to bring some ID. I wonder if interlibrary loans are actually up and running. If so, I could even save myself the trip.
Thinking I need to spend some time revising a couple of stories: I’ve only sent out one of the three that I’ve committed to sending out this month. The thing is, it’s hard for me to spend time sitting while working on things, because of, well, let’s just say it’s because of my health and leave it at that. I do need to get a better work setup so I can do more work than I’ve been able to do lately. But I think tomorrow, I’ll skip the email and get at one of my stories so I can send something out. Then spend the rest of the day (aside from judging a contest tomorrow afternoon) on researching and reading. At least I can do that in a position other than sitting down.
You do need to revise Jupiter’s moon’s blues asap. I want to re-read that motherfucking thing in Asimov’s.
Ditto Ben, although I’m not as picky, I’d be willing to read it in any of the pro markets :)
Yeah, I know I should get on that soon. Just a little more research… just to make sure everything’s exactly as I want it to be. :) But thanks for the encouragement!
