I should note -- I've never seen golfball-sized hail -- the stuff I have seen has been small, always. I've only ever heard of bigger.

Now I feel like I should look it up too. :) Maybe I even will, if I find time...

We get the golfball sized stuff -- a big hunk of hail broke the skylight in my parents' home a few years ago. Sometimes we get it in spring thunderstorms when the temperature at ground level otherwise fairly mild.

Guess I need to learn something about meteorology. :-/

Hmm. Well, I might be remembering wrong, but I don't remember seeing hail even yearly. I think I've only ever seen it a few times, in fact. I have heard of golfball sized hail, though, so it can be serious. But during my years in the province, I didn't see it too many times.

I'm shocked to hear you have hail down there that often, actually!

Now that's just fsck'd up.

Not the failure of the Korean warning, system, bad as that is.

No, I mean the fact that apparently we see more hail in Austin, Texas, than you do in Saskatchewan. I mean, winter here lasts about fifteen days, and we typically get hail several times a year. Freaky.

Or maybe we just get sissy-hail, stuff Canada shrugs off as routine....
