Travels & Other Wanderings
For all that follows, this map is a summary:

I’ve only got two places besides Korea marked as “lived in”: Malawi (where I dwelt as an infant) and Canada. In Canada, I’ve lived in Montreal, Edmonton, and of course my hometown of Saskatoon, as well as several smaller centers like Truro, NS, Prince Albert, SK, and La Ronge SK. The list is longer, but that’s good enough for now.
The first time I visited Thailand, it was horrible, but when I passed through a year later, and it was a little better, then visited twice more, and it was pretty nice while I was there.
I spent two months in the northern half of India, one of those months with my friend Ritu and her family, and I’ve traveled in the States, specifically in the northern states near the Canadian border, and to Austin where I stayed with Marvin and met Adam and his family, Julia, and assorted other people; oh, and there was that summer I spent in Seattle, Washington, doing Clarion West.
I’ve also visited China and Japan, though my trip in China was all too brief. Australia, too, was very short, but good.
I’m so far behind on uploading pictures from all my trips that it’s not even funny, but I have resolved to work on catching up this year. I will place links here as I add them. So far, I’ve uploaded the following pictures into Flickr sets, in my Travel Collection:
- Toronto (Sept. 2001)
- India (2003-2004, part 1)
- Seattle (2006)
- Australia (2006): Melbourne, Canberra, and my friends Charlie and Claire’s wedding
- China (2007)
- Canada (2007)
- Japan (2007)
Pictures to come:
- Thailand (various date/sets)
- India (2003-2004, part 2)
- Laos (2008)
Upcoming trips:
- The Trans-Siberian Railway, from Vladivostok to (?), plus perhaps a little time in Eastern Europe (I’m thinking about summer 2009…)
