Having spent much of the night doing ten things at once, like scanning poems for a readings package I was hoping to finalize before leaving, and ripping CDs, and trying to remember to go fetch the laundry that’s in the dryer, and install some programs on Lime’s computer since the drastic OS-reinstallation we had to do the other day, I find myself sitting here, almost at 8am, and not even tired.
I’m not bragging. I suspect this is probably bad, since I’ve done with only 5 or 6 hours of sleep a night for a while now. I leave for Japan tomorrow, and I have not slept since yesterday. I have no room booked anywhere, and probably get around to it. (Though I probably will be taking the night train up to Sapporo, if I can get one.)
Ah well, maybe I can wander around peering at the nightlife or something. But, uh, I would like to sleep at night, I think. Maybe I should just stay up all day today to ensure I will sleep at night tonight. Gaa.
By the way, I won’t be carrying my laptop with me — it seems like too much bother for a 3-week trip — so that means limited updating. I’m more likely to be throwing image files onto Flickr, actually, if anything, but I’ll try to remember to post one here if I do.
Maybe I should try get some sleep, anyway. Five or six hours or so. I think I could let myself drop into sleep right now if I tried.
But I should get that laundry from downstairs first…
