Found this image while cleaning out the drive for the videocamera I’m sending off to Miss Jiwaku. It was something I saw in, I think, Emart a year ago.The quality isn’t so great, but I can’t not post it:
Yes, the Ultimate Diet for your dog. But it’s not what you might think… did you spot it? Yep, that logo, to the bottom left of the Ultimate Diet image packaging:
Wow, I am sure someone out there thinks himself very, very clever!
Of course, I can’t see myself buying that for any dog, myself, even if the bones and ambiguously specified “raw food” — but then, I’m not the target market. As with pop music, in marketing in Korea slapping any nonsensical English on something is just plain de rigeur.
I know I’m taking the low road, but…
You’ve also just got to love a Korean advert that says “Ultimate Diet,” followed by a big picture of a dog.
Yeah, I thought it too, but didn’t want to take the low road.
(As someone who has eaten dog soup himself, I don’t think it’s much of a weight-loss plan. The sesame flavour is slightly addicting and the meat at the place we used to go was somewhat fatty.)
