It took me a total of about 3 minutes to read the whole thing, and I quite enjoyed it. I think you will too.

I would like some milk…
I can’t believe that I’ve had this Aphex Twin CD (Richard D. James Album, I think it’s called) for over four years — my friend Jack gave me a copy only a couple of days before I left Canada — and in all this time, during many listenings, I never made out exactly where Mr. Aphex was saying he would like some milk from. It’s quite perverse, and it’s only NOW that I understand why Jack commented about the album something along the lines that the artist was a rather twisted fellow. I just can’t believe I never noticed he …

The Narrative of Gordon Sellar Who Emigrated to Canada in 1825 by Gordon Sellar
Well, now, I suppose I really ought to read this: The Narrative of Gordon Sellar Who Emigrated to Canada in 1825 by, yes, Gordon Sellar.
Sadly Realistic
Despite the overstatement, I think Will Farrell really does capture the essence of the Bush Administration’s response to Global Warming (and all kinds of other problems). See here. (via, er, someone I’m subbed to on Bloglines, but I can’t recall who… sorry!)
Che Doctorow: Copyfighter
Heh, I am glad that my credit card applicaiton was approved, because Look at this! Now I’ve simply got to get a credit card. And no, I didn’t get one. Kim Crowed again. But I’m told Samsung will probably give me one. Link above ganked from somewhere on Cory’s site.
Different Meanings of “Colonize”…
The bits I agreed with in this article on colonization of space and colonization in history at The Space Review only had the effect of making me feel more uneasy about the bits I disagreed with. Colonization in the past always involved other humans, which is a big difference. Though I think if Mars does contain basic life of any kind, we’d have to refrain from settling there — at least, we couldn’t stay for too long.
Marmot is no more…
… but luckily it’s just a name/site change. I’m looking forward to seeing it in its final, full glory. Currently Korea’s biggest blogger’s site is being called From the Nakdong to the Yalu.
Is it normal?
I did my friend a favour while she was housesitting a mutual friends’ dogs in Seoul, and stopped in a few times a day yesterday and today to feed her cat. Well, last night, the cat vomited I don’t know how many times. (The floor-heating system was on, too, and it was all dry and crusty and hard to scrub off. Yuck!) I called just to check that this isn’t some kind of deadly cat’s-about-to-die symptom, and to let her know about it generally, and she said it wasn’t unusual for this cat, especially when he’s annoyed at her traveling …
Mickey Mouse Suicidal
Shrinkette linked to this page with old comic strips where Mickey, distraught over his belief that he’s lost Minnie for good, starts thinking he might be better off dead. Just weird.
