I’m on my way…

So, I’m leaving for Dharamsala tonight in a car. The car will drive all night and I’ll arrive tomorrow morning. It turned out the buses are full, so we got me a place in a car. That’ll be fine: a small group of people, same people, and we might get there faster.

It’s been a nice, relaxing few days, with one strange interlude of weirdness: we watched a Bollywood movie Koi Mil Gaya, a kind of E.T. meets Rain Man. Joyful song and dance sequences with a blue-skinned alien amidst the prancing kids and the adult mentally-handicapped man. (It’s politically correct but lending the character far more dignity than the film itself affords him.)

Anyway, next post will be from somewhere quite cold and, well, not here. Until next!

  1. Have a great time in Dharamsala! I look forward to seeing more pics. Unlike some peeps, I LOVE Bollywood films! Haha, that film you watched sounds interesting… hmm, Rain Man meets E.T.? Gotta try checking that one out.

Is it just me, or have you also noticed that almost all Bollywood films have the heroine of the film running away from the hero by running about trees, mountains, towers, and other such objects? =P

  2. No kidding! I love these crazy Bollywood movies. I think I may even pick up some more, the more bombastic the better, while I am still in India, if I have room in my luggage…

Have you ever noticed that all those Bollywood girls are also severely underdressed for the weather in a lot of nature scenes? I mean, prancing about in so little, in the bloody snow! Shocks me that Bollywood is not hit with waves of pneumoniac eliminations of talent.

Right, off to see if my webmail will work this time, and post an update too.
