Okay, universe. I got the message, loud and clear.

I believe in magic again.

Also, in Jpop. I was telling someone how my experience of Japanese pop culture media is something like what I’d expect a group of alien children might make if they were trying to fake their way through American pop culture production.Which, no, is not to call the Japanese children. It’s just that there’s a funny kind of sweetness, even innocence, in some of it that really surprises me. And which I find refreshing, as in this example (though sorry for the audio problems):

The song? That’s how I feel about today. It’s good. Bright spots are to be embraced, celebrated. Luxuriated in.

Must pack. Tomorrow I’m off to Jeju Island for a few days, and haven’t prepared at all. As usual!

    1. V,

      Yay indeed!

      bulgasari,

Good stuff. :) Hey, btw, we should hang out sometime before I leave for the States/Canada. If there’s time on both sides…

  1. Fun. I rather like this song by Supercar, indie rockers who morphed into an electronic band (too bad the audio balance is off). Takako Minekawa is also a lot of fun, and this video is simply the coolest thing I’ve seen someone make on youtube – or at least it is if you’ve watched the anime ‘Azumanga Daioh’ (아즈망가 대왕 in Korean).
