Next time you decide to have a half-hour long conversation out in the hallway, basically in front of my door, it would be nice if you didn’t yell. And I know the person I am saying this to probably won’t read this, but… I can’t very well stomp into the hallway and demand quiet. So, here is the vent. I recently added some more banners to this site. They’re random, at the top of each page. I’m curious which ones are favorites out there. And yes I know that most of them are blurry. It’s on purpose. I also added a new track to the Listen… sidebar drop menu, to your right. It’s a track by the Uh Uh Boo Project band, from an EP that seems unavailable now. If people like it I can put more up. Here’s a poem I mentioned once to Sun Hwa in Seoul over coffee, talking about how writers excel most when they know which details to mention and which to leave out. While cleaning up my apartment I ended up looking through my copy of Rimbaud and found the poem. Seems I misrembered a detail about whose boots Rimbaud was describing, but anyway, it’s still a beautiful detail, better still in the French despite the wonderful translation by Wyatt Mason.
