Via Marvin over at New Sophists’ Almanac, here’s a bit of news that brings me joy, about the finding of a lost 1957 recording of a Carnegie Hall show performed by Trane and Monk from that mysterious time when they were playing in a band together. I don’t have much to add to this discussion that I happened upon earlier this year, except to say (a) Wow, and (b) the reason horror movies suck is because nobody with this kind of imagination is writing them.
