Speaking of Jack Black (as I did in a very recent previous post), this video is messed up.

Lime Test, Holidays, and Timetable
Lime’s just finished her last tests today. I messaged her about it, congratulating her and all, and the response, very brief, was a thankee and that she was sleeping, which if you ask me is good as it is well-earned rest. I’m quite proud of her, it’s been a rather intense set of exams. Unfortunately, my holiday schedule and hers do not coincide: I have a week more at camp before I am free free free! That’s okay, she’s recovering and visiting her mom in the meantime. Happily, she has a month off, starting today. I simply must have my …
The Office
Some of the best TV I’ve seen in a while, that. I just finished the end of Season 1 (having watched three episodes tonight), and a little anecdote came to me about crap jobs and the interviews we go through (and lies we tell) to get them. The chain of associations is kind of complex, actually. Read on if you dare to step into my history…
Weird Dreaming
Teaching an intense winter camp is something that of course affects you, especially when things like materials requested a month before don’t show up. No matter who’s to blame, nothing can be done about it except to weather the problem and make do, sometimes. Well, the stress of dealing with that, as well as just being together with a bunch of kids for a lot of the day, is bound to have some effect on your mind. For me, it’s been weird dreams. The wierdest one involved me being picked up by mobstersItalian mobsters who live in Busan, South Korea. …
Medical Notes From Marvin
A couple of health links from Marvin: one about a new method of combatting carpal tunnel syndrome, a problem I’m increasingly suspicious I’m developing: ANN ARBOR, Mich. ?After a long day on the job, tired minds and sore feet look forward to a long night of rejuvenating rest. A new study finds that nocturnal rest can do a world of good for your hands and wrists too, especially if you are one of the millions of American workers who are just beginning to feel the common pain and discomfort linked to carpal tunnel syndrome. And here’s another note on something …

Strange News In An Email From Jim
I got an email from an old friend who’s living in Britain (in Camberwell, actually) and among his ramblings about the past year, I stumbled onto an unexpected surprise. He’d recently visited my ex-wife (with whom he has maintained his friendship of yore) and she’s not only remarried, but also currently expecting her first child. It’s so weird to hear such news. My reaction was really quite inert, it basically consisted of, “Huh? Really?” followed by a burst of relief that I’m in no way involved. But it just goes to show you, everyone I know (or have known) seems …
Let’s see…
You know that point when you’re so busy that additional stress just doesn’t even register? You’re stressed out, sure, but you don’t notice because you have no time to actually think that stress over, basically? That’s how I am now. It’s not so much like I feel stressed, and now even more stressed out… it’s more like, well, this isn’t something I can deal with now, so I’ll leave it aside till next week; and oh, less free time this weekend, after having worked all week at camp? Well, okay, I’ll cuss about it for a couple of minutes since …
Medicine Dodge
Ha ha! I dodged a camp meeting… well, not really. It’s more like this: the last time I waited until after the camp meeting to go to the doctor, I ended up paying $30 for the consultation and meds, plus it involved about two hours of waiting at the ER in the local big hospital closest to the university, and the doc looked at only one of my problems instead of both. Since normally the consultation and meds for one visit total to about $3-5, I thought I’d miss a meeting and save myself a lot of money. I hardly …
People of the Year
Well, I caught this a little late on kitta.net, but it’s still cool: ABC News chooses Bloogers as the People of the Year, 2004
