Last Night’s Gig
Last night’s show was pretty good. We performed as part of the Dongmun Festival, which is some kind of animation and film festival. We saw the most unusual Korean and Japanese animations, including our band’s apparent favorite, Frank, about a psychotic dog who goes ballistic and even perhaps homicidal when his Hominid-dog friend gets too chatty with a frozen chicken. I want the guy who animated that film to do our next album’s cover art. As Myoung said, “There’s a little bit of Frank in everyone…” Hell, some days there’s a big fat Frank in my saxophone, even. Gigs
Right, here are our gigs, which I probably should have mentioned here before, but I haven’t had time. Tonight, which is Thursday night, at the new Jukebox club in Jeonju, at 9pm. And Sunday, at the Jeonju Natural Map, which is near the Gaeksa in downtown Jeonju at 7:30pm. We’re going to play loud. Do not be alarmed. Simply join us in rocking out. That is all.
Musical Weekend
Well… this weekend was busy. Friday I mostly slept, aside from some phone calls and SMS messages. I didn’t get enough sleep, but I did sleep. Saturday I wrote an email, which I won’t get into here but it was important for me to write it. Saturday afternoon, I planned on reading and writing and working on my blog a little, but I got a call from Myoung Jae telling me that the band needed to meet that afternoon, if possible. He was sick and medicated on Contact, so I didn’t feel my own slightly sore throat, by then mostly …
