Med Students
I have met a number of Korean medical students here in Jeonbuk Province (for some reason, I keep meeting calligraphy majors, and med students) and I think a number of them really ought to be in other professions. Hangeul problems, all of a sudden. Argh.
Gaaa. For some reason I can’t actually explain, the Korean in my web page is NOT working on the front page, but is working (or, before I began fiddling to find out what the problem was, at least, it was working) on the Individual Archive pages of my blog. Weird. I shall have to fiddle and figure it out. Ah well. Sorry for weird looking Hangeul on the front page. It’s typed correctly, it’s just not displaying right. Weird.

A long time ago I read chunks of a book by Douglas Hofstadter titled Metamagical Themas which has a section on how we manage to see the same letters represented in what are, in fact, many different ways.
