Jacko X?
Okay, what? This is just toooooooo weird. I wonder sometimes how one is supposed to write SF anymore, given how bizarre the real world is. But don’t get me started on Bushie, I won’t stop…
The Word From Gurgaon
Well, finally I am updating with something more substantial than a Friday Five… not that F5 is insubstantial, of course, but… Anyway, for those who are wondering, I’m here in Gurgaon (near Delhi) at Ritu’s house. I’m well and happy to wish a Merry Christmas to all those who happen to read this sometime in the next few days. Now… for those of you wondering what has happened during my trip so far…
Life Lessons
This week’s Friday Five Question is answered a little late. I’ve been traveling, you see. More about that in a bit… the question, which requires a good bit of thinking to actually answer for it is quite difficult for me to put into only five points, or say clearly, comes to us courtesy of my very gracious and wonderful current host, Ritu: Everybody lives through certain moments in their lives when things go ‘click’ and ideas take a living, breathing shape. One Night in Bangkok
Yes, really. I missed my flight on Thursday, and ended up having to fly to Bangkok and spend a night here, though I didn’t know at the time how long I would actually be. I was nervous until I checked my bookings online, and found someone had already made reservations for my make-up flight… the website said I would go to Delhi either on Saturday or Sunday. So I got a room at the Royal Hotel and wandered around Khoa San Road. Somewhere along the way I ran into a nice East German girl who’d been on the shuttle bus …
Off I Go…
Writing this with a beautiful Sigur Ros song in my ears: Svefn-G-Englar. Wish I had time to add it to my Listen To… section. The singer keeps on saying, “It’s you—ouu……” and it feels the way I feel right now. Things moving fast, and I’m a small human watching the world spin. And in a few hours, I’ll peel away from the surface, look down in flight at this place where I live, where so many people I care about are… but I’ll be back on the ground sometime tomorrow. I spent a lot of the morning running around getting …

If this is it…
Warning! This is NOT a suicide note. My sister says it sounds like one, so I am putting a disclaimer on this post right now. It’s NOT NOT NOT a suicide note. I was just thinking, the other night, about, well, what if I was in one of the rare plane crashes that do occasionally happen. Is there anything I would like not to leave unsaid? I think it’s a little silly how we go about in life not saying things we want to say, so I wrote all the things that came to mind into this post. And there …
