My classmates/mates (in the British/Australian sense of the word, mind you) have had some good news of late. I don’t remember whether I announced Guy making a sale to Postscripts, but he did. Tinatsu sold a Clarion West story — from the first week, I think — to Shimmer. Caroline‘s sold another story (a Clarion West story, in fact) to Fantasy. Now, go and read Tina‘s excellent poem “Rehydrated”, which is online at Strange Horizons. Here’s to many more stories in print. I’m hoping to have some news to add to that list, soon.

Escape Pod Contest
This is a reminder that a bunch of cool people — tinaconolly, velourmane , spezzatura, and diekreuzen — all have stories up at the Escape Pod contest, which is in the forums over at Escape Pod. Oh, and so do I, and my story is now among those online! I won’t say which one it is, but urge you to go vote for the ones you like. And while you’re at it, subscribe to the podcast. It’s great, and I’ve been listening to it, on and off, for more than a year now.
One-Shot Workshops
I won’t be able to make any of these, unfortunately, but you should think about them, if you’re writing SF: Leslie Howle from Clarion West has coordinated a series of one-day writing workshops with Richard Hugo House in Seattle this spring.
