Gay men sometimes jokingly (and even semi-seriously) refer to their “gaydar”, their ability to sense whether someone is gay. Straight men, on the other hand, tend not to have access to such mystical powers, and anyway, for straight men the tension is all about prclaiming oneself is straight. It’s much easier to read someone else when that person is reacting to one’s implicit, “Hey, by the way, I’m straight.” I don’t really have to do that, because I live in Korea and I have met, maybe, one or two obviously gay men in my several years here. And they weren’t …

Another workaround.
The MIC ban got you down? Unipeak sucks, doesn’t it? Well, try this trick I got from Jae’s blog, My Resonating Life.
WTF?!?!?
Marvin posted this. Dude, this is so screwed up it’s scary!
blog probs
I filled up my webspace with pics from my digital camera which I was saving for myself while on holiday. Turned out the space got so full some of the tables in my database were damaged, and my blog went wonky for a while. It should be okay now, except that the kind of damage caused means I need to re-import everything, from entries to all of my damnable little templates. So it might be a while before my format is fully restored. I’m almost thinking of re-doing my templates and stylesheets, but… I can’t be arsed for now. *** …
VR Church
One of the weirdest online VR avatar-sites I’ve ever seen. A Church. With real services and preachers and stuff. Weird. But you need the newest version of Flash to enter.
Please Come Back Home Wifey, I Promise To Be Less of An Insane Ridiculous Asshole
I don’t know where Oranckay found this but I always get a perplexed kick out of such things. See Oranckay’s post for an explanation of what it says. All I can say it, dude, if you’re enough of a prick to refuse your wife a simple thing like that, you’re probably doing all kinds of other things that pissed her off. ie. the concert was probably the straw that broke the camel’s backI mean, it’s gotta be pretty bad for her to leave her own child behind and go. In which case, concert tickets ain’t gonna fix the problem.
Fun At Landover Baptist
As usual, Landover Baptist is brilliantly mocking the mindless evangelicals of America. They shine particularly wonderfully in this imagined sequel to Mel Gibson’s “Christian Snuff Film” The Passion of Christ, titled The Passion of the Christ Two: The Payback of the Christ. Brilliant quote: it’s the apocalypse, baby.this time it won’t be Jesus getting killed. Beautiful. I especially like that Ann Coulter is mentioned in a role very appropriate to what she is full of. It’s a bit of a typecast role for her, but I approve in this case. And here’s Betty Bowers’ scathing and rather intelligent review of …
Going Down To Walden Pond
I’m still having some trouble adjusting to the time zone shift, apparently. I awoke at four-something in the morning, after about six hours of sleep, and couldn’t get back to sleep. So many things were whirling around in my head: the Korean internet ban, the illegality of the petition, the apparent risk of deportation for those signing it; the way the USFK is pulling out of Korea, the way that the government is handling all protest. What could happen in the next few years. What so many voices are saying, the dozens of different visions all colliding, all the voices …
Which Glasses Are You Wearing?
Hahahaha. The Grand Canyon is an awesome display of God’s creation and a place to find and explore the wonders of His creation. If we visit the Canyon, or read the prevailing interpretive literature about it, we will find that the views presented are predominantly based on evolutionary theories. These theories tend to deny God’s involvement and often His very existence. When viewed from a biblical perspective, however, the Canyon has “God” written all over it. Not only is the Canyon a testimony to creation but it also presents evidence of God’s judgment of a world broken by the sin …
Ad Aware
Okay, so I was stupid not to install it a long time. I my computer was verging on unusable. Then I installed Ad Aware, and what do you know? It scanned my drive, found over a hundred bad things in it, killed them all instantaneously, and suddenly, my PC was beautiful again. Which may explain my sudden burst of posts. I can actually write again! And not lose posts! And open web pages. Well, except those blocked in Korea, which I’m reading by RSS, mostly. Ah, this is nice. Now, if only I could adjust to this time zone.
