Last Glimpses of Iksan (For Now)

It’s funny, I use the word “last” there. My life as connected to Iksan is not over, of course. It’s a half hour away. So I don’t know why, but it does in some ways feel that way, as if I have made some kind of monumental move. It’s only a half hour away from Iksan. But now, I live in Jeonju. I suppose my time in Iksan is over in the sense of it being the place where I spend every day. Ah well. Here are some pictures I took there during the last days I spent in this …

George Harrison

I remember when I was a kid, I was digging through a box of my family’s old cassette tapes. I found the usual: Schubert, Schumann, Bach, Handel, Mozart… and a copy of George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass, both cassettes. I listened to it once or twice, wondering whose it was. Napster had reappeared as a for-pay network? Pbbbbbbt. No, no no, they have it all wrong. See Earthstation5: We’re in Palestine, in a refugee camp,” said Ras Kabir, the service’s co-founder. “There aren’t too many process servers that are going to be …

Since 1984: With a constant mind

Sandoll Font Bank This only amused me just because the English is funny. Come on, admit it. It is. This is what I get for searching for Korean fonts with an English-language keyword search. The company as a specialty in the development of fonts makes the Hangeul, which is the most pride of the Korean culture, to be used with a computer as well as digital equipment. And the aesthetic/functional sense of each font makes the users have the pride themselves on the Hangeul. The company will keep and develop the highest level of study ability on the digital area. …
