Yeah, today I woke to find myself still a little sick from this damnable cold, but more importantly (maybe) I am now, officially, 30 years old. Doesn’t feel much different unless you think hard about it. I’m not gonna.

My Last Post…
…was really vitriolic. I hope you all remember I’m actually pretty nice, most of the time. Read the poem that comes after it. Please!
Hey, Look, a LAZY Dumbass! What a Surprise!
Oh, yeah, the morons are out in full force. The moron in question is not me, though, it’s the dipshit who posted a comment on an old post about gay marriage. Have a look at what Juan has to say… And his email, which may or may not work, was left there. Why not spew some vitriol at this moron, if you need to vent. He deserves it for publishing hate literature. And what’s more, he left a fake email address! Not only a moron and a bigot but also a fucking coward! Brilliant! The moral bravery of these people …
Moments From The Last 24 Hours
I’m sitting on the bus, barely able to stifle the urge to sing the harmony part on the Stanley Brothers’ rendition of Over in the Gloryland, and realizing that the idea of going to heaven to play in an angel band is a beautiful one, and says a lot about what it’s like to be in a band with your good friends. Waking up to yet another friendly SMS message on my phone, this one observing, correctly, that what I’m doing with my free time these days is really quite exciting and fun. Standing in a darkened room, back to …
Shawn Should Be Glad To See This!
Yes, Shawn. You’re not alone. God Hates Shrimp.
Wow, That Was Cool…
Well, it’s about 24 hours (Korean time) till my birthday officially starts, and what I did I do this evening? I had dinner with the guys in the band, and recorded a track for my friend Dae Gui’s CD. It’s quite pretty, really, and I hope he puts it online so that I too can share it on my site. It took some doing, about two and a half hours for a few little sax parts, but I was starting from scratch so that’s not so bad. And I think, once it’s mixed down, it should really come out nice. …
Look Closely
Shawn just pointed out that there’s an upside-down pentagram pentacle on the sign of the university where we work, which is a Christian university. Do you see it? You can click on the image to see it nice and big. We in the office wonder exactly what this may signify… but register very little surprise.
Okay, then…
So the day’s been kind of busy, even though I’m not really teaching much today. I woke to a text-message from a very nice friend who wished me luck on the first day of classes. After that, I rushed to school and started my first class, the thirty students of which only one showed up. The next class was populated by a bunch of good kids from the freshman class of law students I taught last term, which was a pleasant surprise. After lunch, there was a very mixed-up test invigilation, in which nobody knew what the hell was going …
First Day, First Class
Gord: “So, what’s your major?” Student: “Jesus God.” I’d kind of forgotten. Ah well…
Sadly Exactly What’s Happening…
Found this on Adam’s A violently executed blog. What’s sad is it’s exactly what is happening in America, not just with Bush but so many of his partymates. You know, when a barfight at my favorite bar broke out last week I stood at the door hollering, “Get out of here, you fucking animals. You uncivilized animals! Out! Out! Get the fuck out!” I did it until they stopped fighting and someone hauled one of the drunken assholes out into the street. I wish I could stand at the door of America and yell it at the Republican party, in …
