Marmot’s Hole has a story up about its contempt for the people by banning parodies that might affect elections. A Seoul court on Thursday fined a college student 1.5 million won for producing and spreading parodies through the Internet that aimed to defame certain candidates ahead of the April 15 general elections. It is the first time in South Korea that a citizen has been punished for producing parody works on the Internet. Over at This IS London, there’s an article up about dyspraxia , which is the new dyslexia, a medical term now bandied about by both parents and teachers who sometimes use it as an excuse for academic underachievers. The woman in the article relates a story which is, after all, pretty damning; it shows how medical labels sometimes get misused in the educational system. Damn! I wish I’d bought that Aspirin I was looking at in the shop in Texas. Check this out: it seems that Aspirin is one of the best treatments for sunburn, or so says this doctor… at least, I assume the poster is a doctor.
