Eine Kleine Zombiemusik

I’ve just put the finishing touches on the music for Mrs. Jiwaku’s third short film, a zombie movie. Over the course of the project (developing the music, I mean) I’ve posted in-progress clips to Soundcloud, but now I’ve got the final, tidied-up and cleaner tracks up. They are, for the moment, downloadable–in part because Mrs. Jiwaku will need to download them. They are quite loud, by the way: I de-normalized the output because it seems to fit the aggressive sound we need, especially in the non-autonormalized version of Track #3. Just a warning, for those listening on headphones or about …

Please Help Us Out!

If you didn’t already know, I’m part of the Brutal Rice Productions group. Actually, Brutal Rice is me and Miss Jiwaku. And we’re shooting a film next weekend. Here’s the thing: We’re trying to make an outstanding Korean SF movie. Brutal Rice Website Screenshot

So, a couple of weeks ago, I decided it was time that our film production website got a makeover. I’d slapped the original site together in the heat of the moment, when we uploaded our first web short to Youtube, knowing that we needed some kind of a link on which to hang our online signboard. It was finished in about 24 hours, that first version of the site, using a clunky-but-passable template, and it served as a place to put data. But we have a lot of projects brewing now, and it can’t hurt to have a snappy website, …

Big News!

I apologize for the lack of activity here. I have a lot going on, between working on several writing projects (fiction and scripts alike) and trying to get some stuff done around the house. In the process, I’ve let the Blogging Ezra Pound’s Cantos project slide a bit, though I do have a post about a couple of Cantos that is almost ready to post. But in the meantime, I’ll say a bit about the busy weekend. The biggest news is that over the weekend, “The Music of Jo Hyeja” got its World Premiere at the Los Angeles H.P. Lovecraft …

Scripted… Now, About the Angle?

The ether is off somewhere feasting on the original version of this post, which was longer than this one will be. I won’t complain about it, since this very rarely happens to me, and the software I’m using is free, but it does explain why I’m being so terse in this post. (I’m going to just recap the highlights, and be a little more vague about everything,) First of all, I just finished the first draft of my script late Wednesday night (or, if you prefer, extremely early on Thursday morning.) That puts it at six days of drafting, three …
