I’ve mentioned this on Facebook and Twitter, but my wife has been releasing the films she’s made so far on Youtube, every ten days in July. They’re Korean-language films, but with English (and sometimes other) subtitles. On July 10th, she posted her award-winning debut short “The Music of Jo Hyeja”, which regular readers will know is our Korean modernization of Lovecraft’s classic story “The Music of Erich Zann”: https://youtu.be/lUTjXyR0T50 On the 20th, she posted her second film, another award-winner; this time, it’s a Korean zombie apocalypse, “Environmental Pressures & Species Adaptation”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cd9jfJhMXY There’s one more film coming: the long-awaited “Daerijeon: The Proxy War”, based on the …

The Music of Jo Hyeja Trailer
For those who were interested in our “The Music of Jo Hyeja” project, a trailer has just gone live on Youtube.com. Here it is: If you like it, feel free to pop over to Youtube and give it a thumbs-up, a nice comment, or whatever. We have a lot more in store, so you might also want to subscribe to the channel. But I was told that Lovecraft hasn’t really caught on in any appreciable way, which also makes it hard …
Whew…
I have gotten so much done in the last couple of weeks that it simply isn’t funny: the semi-final draft of an article with a swiftly approaching deadline the final draft of a new short story submitted to Bibliotheca Fantastica a revision of the subtitles for our film, “The Music of Jo Hyeja” But there’s a lot left to do too, especially grading. owever, I’m tempted to take tommorrow off just for housecleaning and reading a novel, some novel, any novel, along with one nonfiction book on Pound; I never get enough reading done during semesters, and I’m eager to …
The Music of Jo Hyeja: Done!
I was so busy last week, I forgot to mention: The Music of Jo Hyeja is finished, finished, finished. Well, sort of. The film itself is finished, and could be screened tomorrow, as it stands. Of course, we still need to make a trailer, and a poster, but the film was finished in time for us to send it out to one film festival (so far, with more to come). I need to research the deadlines for some others, as we may as well submit to as many as possible, and there are a number it’s suitable for. The interesting …
