You’ll have to forgive me for doing something today that I don’t often do: being (relatively) brief. I’m busy, is why. I am now grading essays from midterms — a few weeks late, I’ll admit — and then I’ll be storyboarding the film we start shooting our next short film project in Bucheon at the end of the month. So, a couple of weeks ago, I decided it was time that our film production website got a makeover. I’d slapped the original site together in the heat of the moment, when we uploaded our first web short to Youtube, knowing that we needed some kind of a link on which to hang our online signboard. It was finished in about 24 hours, that first version of the site, using a clunky-but-passable template, and it served as a place to put data. I apologize for the lack of activity here. I have a lot going on, between working on several writing projects (fiction and scripts alike) and trying to get some stuff done around the house. So, I announced this news on Twitter and Facebook a little over a week ago, but didn’t get around to announcing it here. Our short film “The Music of Jo Hyeja” has been accepted for the Los Angeles HP Lovecraft Film Festival. It will be the film’s World Premiere, and as a Lovecraftian movie, it’s hard for me to imagine a better festival for it to premiere at! Had an interesting talk on a couple of weekends ago with some of my Korean SF-fan friends about Lovecraft, the contents of which surprised me. I was so busy last week, I forgot to mention: The Music of Jo Hyeja is finished, finished, finished. Well, sort of. The film itself is finished, and could be screened tomorrow, as it stands.
